What a sagacious speech our beloved Governor Sri Arif Mohammed Khan delivered while inaugurating the Anantapuri Hindumahasammelanam! Governor's speeches are well known as they impart a sense of inclusiveness and self awareness among the listeners. No words to describe his unsurpassable wisdom and knowledge. Each word fallen from his blessed tongue was a gem which enriched the thought process of all the serious listeners.
After keeping the prepared text aside, the Governor, on the spot, decided to deliver a speech from his own insights which became extraordinarily amazing and enlightening. The depth of his knowledge, wisdom and patriotism was evident throughout his speech.
He quoted and explained many manthras and shlokas so well from our scriptures including Vedas and Upanishads . He literally proved that being an ardent believer of Islam is not an obstacle for embracing the Indian culture and heritage with its fullest.
After the most loved and respected President of India
Sri. Abdul Kalam, we are blessed to have a similar sage who is equally wise and good hearted. For me,
the Governor on the stage, truly resembled Bhagavan Krishna Himself who gave advice to Arjuna on Dharma at the end of Dwapara Yuga. The Bliss of the same wisdom was evident on his face.
We always say that even if Bhagavan hits us with one hand He never hesitates to pat us with the other. It is evident in the case of our State too. Because, on one hand, Kerala is in the mouth of anarchy and anti national activities resulting from the rule under the unscrupulous leaders of an atheist government. But Kerala is fortunate to have
Sri. Arif Mohammed Khan as the head of the State who is always righteous, meticulous and impartial in delivering his official duties.
I am sure that none of the mainstream Malayalam TV channels or newspapers would be interested in promoting such words of wisdom with importance because if they do so it may immunize their viewers from the stinking viral news outbreaks, anti-national debates and scripted discussions which take place in their studios on a daily basis. Of course, the Governor's Office might have taken initiatives for documenting the valuable speeches.
I felt that such a Historic Speech should be documented and preserved as a reference for the coming generations. Millions and millions of rare and valuable ancient texts, scholarly speeches etc. that we use widely for reference now are the result of the hard work and commitment of our forefathers. They did so because they were aware that an honest documentation of the past would become a reliable pathfinder in future.
This is my humble effort to document the above mentioned Historic Speech of the honourable Governor Arif Mohammed Khan. I listened to the speech word by word with utmost care in order to avoid mistakes and typed everything without any omission. However, the unnoticed mistakes from my part, if any, will be corrected as soon as noticed.
